Aedrian Ortiz
- Earned Engineer of Fisheries degree
with a specialty in Aquaculture from Unidad
Guaymas in Mexico in 1997. Received training
in Marine Culture in Sea Farming Center of
Kochi, Japan from 1997 to 1998.
- Up to 2000, took a variety of
aquaculture assignments including marine
fish breeding, growout and commercial
production of oysters.
- Started as Shrimp Hatchery Manager with
Industrias Pecis S.A. de C.V. in 2001.
- Became Shrimp Hatchery Manager of SyAqua
Mexico in 2004; became Production Manager of
SyAqua Siam in 2005.

Multilingual, he speaks
Spanish, English, Japanese and Thai.
At the present time,
Aedrian Ortiz is the Director of Breeding in
Integrated Aquaculture International and is
located in IAI’s Technology Service project
with the Department of Fisheries, Brunei
Darussalam.
