• Professional career in aquaculture started at Ecuadminsa, a fully integrated shrimp producer in Ecuador that operated a 1600-ha farm
  
  
• Recently with Granjas Ojai, an agribusiness company with 1000 ha of shrimp farms in Mexico. Was responsible for shrimp production operations in the company that involved extensive, semi-intensive and super-intensive production systems
  
  

• Experienced in managing intensive, aerated, and lined pond systems with probiotic cultures and bioflocs to minimize water exchange and with mechanical harvesting to produce head-on shrimp for premium market segments  

  At the present time, Tom James is the Director of Pond Production of Integrated Aquaculture International and is located in IAI’s Technology Service project with the Department of Fisheries, Brunei Darussalam.
